Rebecca is a Toronto based Director, Editor and Producer interested in the intersection of independent filmmaking and the storytelling applications of digital video production and dissemination technology. She holds and BFA and MFA in film production from York University.
Her directorial work has screened at The Montreal World Wide Film Festival, The Moving Images Festival, The International Student Film Festival Hollywood and Toronto’s Female Eye Film Festival (where her film Birdbath was nominated for Best Short Film).
Rebecca is skilled at narrative, documentary and commercial editing and has over six years experience editing broadcast, web and festival content. She has worked with Directors Lesley Johnson, Scott Miller Berry, Mark Pariselli, Matthew Hogue, Jennifer Dysart and Francis Lebouthillier. These collaborations were showcased internationally in festivals including Oberhausen, Experimenta, Rotterdam, Inside Out, Imaginative and Nuit Blanche. Her freelance clients include Toronto International Film Festival, Cream Productions, The Royal Ontario Museum and Idea Couture.
She learned how to produce by producing her own films and has since worked as a Producer, Assistant Director, Production Coordinator and Production Manager on independent feature films and for companies like Cream Productions and Vice Media.
